I’m back in the hosting seat this episode! Pick Of The Week goes to Geoff Johns & Francis Manapul for The Flash #5 (DC). Fast Five picks include Hulk #25 (Marvel), Fables #98 (Vertigo), Green Lantern Corps #52 (DC), Nemesis #3 (Icon), and Secret Avengers #5 (Marvel).
Yes, it’s a little longer than usual, but that just means you get even more of my ugly-mug!
No Pick Of The Week this week, but fear not! There’s still an awesome Fast Five to talk about. Fast Five picks include Nemesis #1 (Icon), Scalped #36 (Vertigo), The Guild #1 (Dark Horse), Thunderbolts #142 (Marvel), and Green Lantern #52 (DC).
Special announcement about the next step forward for the podcast at the end!
Yes folks this is episode 66 even though even the Elephant says it is 65. Star Trek is discussed for a whole 30 minutes. From Original Series to Next Generation to Deep Space Nines to Enterprise, the Bombers almost forget the beauty that is Kate Mulgrew in Voyager. We learn that as an extra special feature on the two disc edition of the new movie is a Fantastic JJ Abrams Bukake film (search it’s in there). We learn that Nine is bad even for gay people. Christmas films are discussed and we do a speed five on our top favorite. Comics are talked about in length. Comics discussed: Avengers Forever, Green Lantern: Rebirth, War of Kings, Old Man Logan, Transformers: Bumblebee, The Waiting Place and Judd Winick’s Exiles.
This episode is a day late due to Memorial Day pushing back comics to Thursday. Pick of the week goes to Mark Millar & Steve McNiven for Wolverine #72 (Marvel). Fast Five picks include Nova #25 (Marvel), The Sword #17 (Image), Guardians of the Galaxy #14 (Marvel), Northlanders #17 (Vertigo), and Amazing Spider-Man #595 (Marvel).
As much as I love Wolverine this week, I also have some qualms with it. Other than that, great week for comics!
It’s quality over quantity this week for comics. Pick of the week goes to Mark Millar and Steve McNiven for Wolverine #71 (Marvel). Fast Five picks include Invincible #60 (Image), G.I. Joe: Cobra #1 (IDW), Azrael: Death’s Dark Knight #1 (DC), Punisher #3 (Marvel), and Air #7 (Vertigo).
Cobra, The Hood, and Old Man Logan makes this week extremely enjoyable!
