Sorry, I thought I put this episode up already. I probably tried to blank it out, after Matt’s story of messing with a crazy person. Or my new really cool, really important job is already burning my brain cells.
– DC Cancellations & New Series. Yay, More Liefeld!
– Green Arrow TV pilot.
– AMC expands Walking Dead by 3 episodes.
– Avengers VS X-Men line-up.
January 2012 Previews. I would love to see if anyone actually cut out Mike Richardson’s head and took photos with it.
And Always we want to know what you are pulling this month.
Back with a new episode. Only 20 more until 100! There’s a lull in comics news as there usually is just prior to San Diego Comic Con, so things get a bit odd as we run for two and a half hours with our most kid UNfriendly show yet.
And July Previews! find out what new DCU books Matt and John will be picking up and everything else exciting.
John is still brain fried from his spring finals, so Matt’s stepping in to bring us up to speed on Brightest Day #0 and Brightest Day #1 to let us know how the first issue rates and how new reader friendly it is.
Promo: One of my new favorite podcasts, Milk Carton TV, as all my favorite shows are usually canned after one or two episodes.
John here. I have almost no voice. So instead of my normal podcast, I’m taking the opportunity to let Mur Lafferty tell you about her new Podiobook, Playing for Keeps. She’s been hinting at it for a long time on her two podcasts, Geek Fu Action Grip and I Should Be Writing. AND it’s about superheroes, so I’ve been looking forward to it for while.
Give a listen, then head over to the Playing for Keeps Website and subscribe, when it launches on November 1.
This has the first segment for brand new comic readers, describing some of the comics terminology, let me know what you think.
Also this episode has the new Comics Radar promo and the first of the bits featuring Wendel and Martin, the Comics Radar Bats. let me know what you think. I know my sense of humour is a bit off, so the bits may not be funny at all.
Also this episode is a bit longer than usual, clocking in at 38 minutes. Don’t know if I like this or if I want to split it, doing each segment as it’s own show, would make for more shows, quicker posting, more up to date, but episodes would lose consistency. Hmm, considering…
Comics Radar tries out adding a cohost, and because the host is a horrible tangenter, they get into a long rambling conversation about comics, Civil War, 52, the state of comics, and mix in a little info that dispelled some of my beliefs about comic ordering.
