Chronic Insomnia, the world’s most absurd comic book podcast somehow missed the cut on USA Today’s “Top 10 Comic Book Podcast” list. This week Mike and Ryan decide to make a run for # 1 in your hearts by doing what we do best – giving the First Amendment a run for its money.
I’m pretty sure that at some point we discuss the ComicsPRO meeting that just wrapped up in Dallas, IDWs Godzilla # 1 promotion, and Marvel’s “Next Big Things”, which all sound an awful lot like seven-times recycled old things. My sleep deprived brain has some vague recollection of extolling the virtues of Amazing Spider-Man, Savage Dragon, and the latest installment of Silver Surfer. All well and good.
But the important thing is that we talk about Ryan’s once-in-a-lifetime conversation with Gail Simone, an exciting crossover mega event with Comic Tube, why Facebook is like that friend of yours constantly trying to shove a pineapple in your out door, and a tear-tugging trip into the dark heart of Canada: land of puppy murderers. We do it all in the most socially irresponsible manner possible, of course. Find out why Pop Candy’s Whitney Matheson would call us “the comics podcast I wouldn’t listen to on a dare” if she had ever heard of us.
As always make sure to check out our good friends in Canada on Where Monsters Dwell. We also have an excellent blog with much less poop and semen then our show which you should definitely check out. Oh yeah, we love the all of you.
