Arc Reactions – 41.1 – The Force Awakens

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!

Travis from Creator’s Edge Press and his lovely wife Sarah join Dylan and John to discuss The Force Awakens. Will this highly anticipated movie live up to all the fan expectations? We examine what we enjoyed and where we felt the film fell flat for us.

We did not do any talking points for this episode. Instead we went around the table and each gave one bad point and one good point for the film.

Jimmy’s TCAF Panels

I’ll be moderating a couple of panels at TCAF this weekend. Come on by and check them out!
Sports Vs. Comic Books: Making Peace Between Schoolyard Enemies
Jocks Vs. Nerds is an engrained trope, but times have thankfully changed. The North American comics industry is catching up to its European and Japanese compatriots, realizing that blending popular sporting events with comics and graphic novels goes together like peanut butter and chocolate, and the result are great comics that appeal to an entirely new artist. Join authors Box Brown (Andre The Giant), Reinhard Kleist (The Boxer), Wai Au (Fujosports), and Jesse Lonergan (All-Star) for a spirited discussion of this emerging genre of comics!
@ The Pilot Saturday, May 10 11am-12pm
Spotlight: Reinhard Kleist
This would be a feature interview with Kleist about his work and career, with a special focus on The Boxer, which is debuting in English at the festival.

@The Marriott 50 Saturday, May 10 12pm-1:15pm

Erica Schultz returns to rekindle the podcast marriage. Jimmy also gives mad love to the ABC show The Neighbors especially star Toks Olagundoye. News includes: Disney’s Marvel teams up with Netflix, Star Wars VII gets a release date, iZombie nexts comic to be TV adapted, Cinemax lands U.S. rights to Kirkman’s Outcast,  Neil Gaiman writes e-book for Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary, and the son of a Doctor Who writer claims he owns rights to the TARDIS.
