Good or Dead/Solus

This time, we get some answers about exactly how these 12-page teasers came to be, and critique two more of them: “Good or Dead” (about a zombie apocalypse in Singapore) by Louis Png, and “Solus” (about a monster on a rampage in a spacecraft) by Dan Amariles.

Sequential Underground #28

Sequential Underground
Listen to Sequential Underground #28 right now:

Dan, Shawn, Juan, and Nick talk about shows! Conventions, expos, festivals, fairs.

We’re talking about SMALL SHOWS (for example, PIX)…

…versus BIG SHOWS (for example, NYCC).

What makes a comic book show “small” or “big”? Is it scale? Is it theme?

What makes more sense for an indie comics creator? We discuss table cost, freebies, making personal connections, and tons more. Shows covered include: PIX, SPACE, Pittsburgh Comicon, SPX, NYCC, and more.

Two True Freaks! Episode 174 – Star Trek Monthly Monday #27

0d9c

In a very funny episode of ‘Star Trek Monthly Monday’, The Freaks make some lemonade from some space lemons, Capt. Kirk wields a space dildo in “What Are Little Girls Made Of?”, we see the latest model of the Christopher Pikemobile in “Too Short A Season”, and Sulu subdues a foe using (for real, not kidding) chopsticks and a Transformer!! Space racism? You Betcha! Also: Puppet Lurch, people thrown into bottomless pits, styrofoam caves, and absolutely NO Wesely Crusher! Plus – as a Special Bonus – BLUEGRASS BONES!
