Shattercast 29 – Penis Penis Penis Penis

It’s a sexy Shattercast this month!  Jake and Gav get into cosplay massage and a flip out over penises in Archie’s boardroom.  They also question what The Bard was smoking and take a quick look at the controversy over the fact that Spidey now comes in a variety of colours.

The article on cosplay massage that got the ball rolling.

V for Vertigo, Episode 74: Interview with Anthony Del Col

There’s no review this week. Instead I interview Anthony Del Col, co-creator and co-writer of IDW’s Kill Shakespeare. He talks about the beginnings of Kill Shakespeare, the ideas behind it, and the future of the series. Believe it or not, we also talk some Vertigo comics.

Deconstructing Comics #240: Kill “Shakespeare”

Approached by one of its co-authors, Tim, Mulele, and Kumar take him up on his suggestion to review “Kill Shakespeare” from IDW. However, we didn’t promise to like it.

Harvey Pekar, author of “American Splendor,” died recently at age 70. A remembrance of some of his work.

San Diego Comic-Con is over for another year. What are some things that we WISH would have been announced there?

Gutter Trash – Episode 56: Scotland, PA

This week Jason and I review Scotland, PA, starring Christopher Walken and can’t figure out when it was made. We expose ourselves as the illiterate morons we are, discuss Big Lots/Odd Lots and the joys of shopping for christmas gifts there. We debate babaganoush versus goulash, remember rock ‘n’ roll trading cards, more mullet talk, and I declare “Idiocracy” to be the scariest horror film ever made.

Music by Legbone, Black Wolf Fight and Operation Ivy.
