Sidekickcast Episode #50 – Home & Away

Sidekickcast Episode #50 - Home & Away

Who’d have thought we’d get all the way to 50 episodes? Not me that’s for sure. So here it is episode 50 with regular Sidekickcast hosts Gavin and Dan accompanied by two of our most favourite Sidekicks; Ned and Mikey Bumchin.

There is a lot in this one and to explain what it is would give too much away, needless to say we have an overflowing review filled Stack Attack, an extra special Secrets and Lies, a big ol’ competition that you do not want to miss, an exclusive interview with the creators of upcoming supernatural comedy book, Stiffs and much, much more.

Thanks to everyone that has supported us over the last 50 episodes, we never would have gotten this far without you.

Sidekickcast Episode #47 – Beards and Mountains

SidekickCast Episode #47 - Beards and Mountains

Due to Indianna Jones-style-globe-trotting, with the red line and everything, this week’s episode is a little late but as always Gavin and Dan are on top Sidekickcast form. We actually talk about comic book matters for once with some CLiNT rundown, Alan Moore character assassination and a look at The Dark Tower adaptation.

In Stack Attack this week we look at Scarlet #2, Shadowland #3, Daredevil #510, True Blood #1 & 2, X-Force: Sex & Violence #3, Avengers #4 and New Avengers #3.

Dan is seriously closing in on Gavin in Secrets and Lies, the comic book news quiz with a twist but can he keep it up?! The Dig This! choice this week comes from Sidekick favourite Chris Barker in the form of Blade of the Immortal vol.1. Don’t forget to listen past the outro music for our usual brand of comedy cock-ups.

F BombCast Episode 100

Episode 100!!!!!!!

Hey folks, This is it, The episode you have all been waiting for. The Episode that is the anniversary of an ill fated idea of three friends who just like to hear their own voices. and it shows, because in this fantastic episode that is a festive occasion of ideas, the F BombCast… well we do what we do every week, talk about our lives, Movies, Music, and Comics.  Howie Mandel teaches us about the female anatomy and sexually transmitted diseases, and the Wire may have been the best thing ever on TV, even without the abundance of naked Cock that OZ had in it. Fisticuff… yes i said fisticuffs… almost come out over the discussion of Daredevil and Shadowland and then TJ just gets bored talking about the House of Ill-Fated Ideas so the boys start talking more Marvel comics, UGH!!!! We discuss the Avengers titles in earnest and and TJ loves Academy, while mike has had his mind changed on the adjectiveless Avengers title. Batman 703 and Red Robin are briefly brought up, Then a discussion of Locke and Key brings the boys to talk some books without pictures, mostly Steven King, but Joe Hill’s (who is King’s son BTW) Heart Shaped Box is also mentioned. Mike is stepping away from an old friend as Savage Dragon gets the heave ho, and Torchwood is being added. Joe Q may be the laziest man in comics as he simply reproduces old pages in Spiderman OMIT, and lastly TJ’s inner Geekiness comes out with Dungeon and Dragons #0. Enjoy folks, i don’t know if it gets much better than this.

Burnt Weiners Episode 041 Justice League Generation Lost #8

Max Lord is up to his old tricks again, but now, nobody but the Justice Weiners can stop him! They do this by obviously reading the latest issue of Justice League Generation Lost, all while balancing flaming barrels upon their chins. Please note John does not gush the whole entire show over a team he loves, instead, he shows his love through interpretive dance (not available on MP3 download).

Weed gets his much needed dose of Moon Knight this month with a Shadowland tie in, and talks a little bit about Green Arrow. Steege loves the 90 minute chunks of Elemental War of Magic he gets to play after be very lucky in snagging the super hot IDW comic Jurassic Park (note sarcasm)

John does finally get a chance to gush, and he does so with Batgirl, and then does even more so with Revolver (Vertigo), the new hardcover from Matt Kindt (Superspy). Bo wraps the show up with some Punisher and Batman talk.

Be sure to stick around after the ending music (which you should always anyways) for the hot new song the Weiners made that will be tearing up the charts, and Bo’s dog getting a little bit sick.

Sidekickcast Episode #46 – Twitter’d & Confused

Sidekickcast Episode #46 - Twitter'd & Confused

Somebody decided it would be a good idea to leave Sidekickcast regular hosts, Gavin and Dan to their own devices. Bad move. Left to podcast alone they decide it’d be a great idea to get wasted and then talk about comics.

What follows is pretty much a mess, they sign Dan up to Twitter, attempt to do a Marvel-free Stack Attack, failing miserabley, muddle their way through Secrets and Lies and vaguely mention Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life for Knowing Me, Knowing You.

Normal Service will be resumed when these jokers sober up.

Burnt Weiners Episode 034 Shadowland #1

The Weiners celebrate some birthdays the Paul Dundee way . . . by reading the kickoff issue to SHADOWLAND! The Hand, Daredevil and Bullseye help blow out the birthday candles, and can’t recall the Banner’s name on the Incredible Hulk TV Show (and it was David, because “Bruce” was “too gay”).

Travis talks about some more metal concerts he attended, John gets pumped for Maleev and Bendis’ return as a working team on Scarlet (Icon Comics).

Weed tells us all about I Zombie (Vertigo), Brightest Day (DC), Secret Six (DC), Dark Rain (Vertigo), Pet Avengers (Marvel), Persepolis (Pantheon), and Dust Wars (Image)! WHEW!

Steege shares with us some wrestling stories, The Faith Series Jesus Christ (Bluewater) and how God has a broken heart and the devil looks awesome, and Electric Ant (Marvel). Bo then gushes about Green Lantern, Lobo, Atrocitus, dogs and kitty cats! Lobo – F YEAH!

The some more blah blah blah about random video game things and gross friends!
