V for Vertigo, Episode 103: Summer Movies

I recently watched both Thor and Fast Five so you know I have to talk about them. Don’t worry, I don’t spoil them, but if you haven’t seen them, you should. And stay past the credits, this includes Fast Five.

There’s one sad, but unsurprising news this week as I say goodbye to FOX’s Human Target. I then move on talking about the imaginative, inventive, and something else that starts with ‘i’ in The Unwritten: Dead Man’s Knock (Mike Carey, Peter Gross). It’s Vertigo’s best ongoing series.

Interview: Mike Carey Part 2

Thanks to the mad contact skills of Joel, he and Adam got to chat for a few hours with writer Mike Carey.  In this, Part 2, we will discuss what he puts into being a writer, the Minx line (Confessions of a BlabbermouthRe-Gifters), X-men, and his novel writing on Felix Castor.

V for Vertigo, Episode 89: WHAT?

To kick things off, I talk about Round Table and how disappointing their portions, especially their garlic twists, have become. I continue my discussion and love for RedLetterMedia, spending far too much time on it, because some angry, nerd wrote a 108 page rant.

I then finish covering the limited Crossing Midnight series by reading Crossing Midnight: The Sword in the Soul (Mike Carey, Jim Fern). Not Mike Carey’s best work but still a good read.

Episode 81: East Coast Bias

This week I talk about how the Gigantes didn’t win but how the Phillies lost, at least according to the talking heads on various sports networks. I also go over how different people are from me and how they suck.

Lastly, I talk about Vertigo’s only on-going series that’s not written by people starting with the letter ‘W’ in The Unwritten: Inside Man (Mike Carey, Peter Gross). I struggle talking about it as I wasn’t expecting to talk about it alone.

Event: NYCC 2010 – Vertigo Panel Bootleg

While at the New York Comic Convention 2010 I (Adam) sat one full panel.  That panel was Vertigo: On the Edge.  Why that panel? Chrissie Zullo.  While there I sat along side CBR reporter, Karl Kelly.  He was recording the panel for his notes, so I thought I’ll record this thing from the audience guerilla style and see what I get.

Those in attendence include the following plus many more: Brian AzzarelloAndy DiggleChrissie Zullo, Scott Snyder, andMike Carey
