This week’s interview is with two of the creators of the fascinating Dark Beach #1, Michael J. Ruiz-Unger and Tucker Tota. Here’s how this comic is described: “A scifi noir comic that follows Gordo, a black market photographer as he attempts to uncover the truth of why there is no longer a sun.” That description alone had me! We discuss how the comic came to be, look into the characters, and find out what the future holds for this enthralling Indie comic series. Check out my review of this comic at this link! For more information, go to their website or visit them on Facebook! Be sure to check it out!
In which Chris and Scott ride Soarin’, Scott has deja vu “all over again”, Chris almost gets his head lobbed off by some kid’s lightsabre, an EPIC taco salad is eaten, and The Freaks take you INSIDE A REAL WALT DISNEY WORLD BATHROOM! AWESOME!!!
Then, on the way home, The Freaks have a calm, measured discussion on the current state of customer service in America. Get ready for some PRIME GRIPE!
This episode is a rerun that originally aired October 6th, 2008.
Hail to the Chiefs, Baby!
In this episode, The Freaks discuss the presidencies of Captain America and Superman. They also discuss the first black president and a female vice-president, but not in the way you’re thinking! Plus some patriotic words from “One Called Kirk”.
This week is a more free-form show. The Freaks discuss trailers for Frank Miller’s “The Spirit”, “TR2N”,”Terminator: Salvation” and a remake of “The Day The Earth Stood Still”. Chris throws a fit about garage sale etiquette and Scott invents the phrase “hobby raping”. Add some Firesign Theatre, the Justice League roll call, and a trip to the Freak Museum and you can call it a show. The song featured today in the Freak Museum is “Our Song” by Roger Waters from the soundtrack to the movie “The Body”.
