On this podcast we talk some DC TV with The Flash / Supergirl crossover, and the possible movement on the Titans TV series. Then we review Batman: Bad Blood and Marvel’s Spider-Man #1. This is still our fight song. Listen in!
Are excited for The Flash meeting Supergirl? Head over to our podcast Facebook page and let us know.
ep 40: Jim and Eric are at it again, whatever that means. They get right to it on this one and discuss what little news came out of New York City Comic Con and then tackle this week’s DC Comics offerings. Something must have been in the air because they agree so much that it even freaked them out. Also included is Listener Mail, Reggie’s Recklessness, a super sized edition of Ryan’s Clark’s Other Side and Professor DC’s lesson on Swamp Thing. We hope you enjoy it and “Make yourself scarce like the dirt on a tire in the middle of the forest during sundown!”
DC Comics News: Justice League Dark movie is happening, Greg Capullo taking a break from Batman in 2016, Dark Knight Returns gets a prequel from Frank Miller, Brian Azzarello and John Romita Jr.
DC Comics Books reviewed: Batman and Robin Eternal #1, Telos #1, Detective Comics #44, Green Lantern #45, Action Comics #45, Batman Beyond #5, Injustice: Year Four #23, Green Arrow Annual #1, Lobo #11, Omega Men #5, Cyborg #3, Green Arrow #45 and Midnighter #5
While the podcast starts with Jim pissed off and eventually kicking his computer, Eric calms him down and they get to all of this week’s books. We get the last email ever from Reggie and instead of his Recklessness, Professor DC tells everyone about the Royal Flush Gang. We also find out that Saturday Night Fever was indeed rated R and Dan left the Geek News to chase his dreams…which gives Jim and Eric nightmares. All this and more on episode 39 of Weird Out Loud!
DC Comics Books Reviewed: Justice League #44, Grayson Annual #2, Superman #44, Green Lantern Annual #4, Batman Annual #4, New Suicide Squad Annual #1 and Aquaman #44
ep 35: After last week’s marathon, Jim and Eric are still exhausted and Jim may have drank too much caffeine. With less books, little news and a bad attitude, they recorded one of the shortest podcasts they have ever done. We still find out what Eric really thinks of Wes Craven, what Jim thinks of Green Arrow and what both of them think of each other. It’s another love fest for everyone to join in on.
ep 34: Jim and Eric cave in to listener demand that they get rid of the “Flash Reviews” segment of the podcast and talk at length about every single DC Comics issue that hit the shelves this week. That is fifteen books and boy, it took a long time to record this one. I don’t know if they can keep up this pace and not kill themselves or find themselves abandoned by their family and friends. They also talk some news including DC Comics going against the “batgirlization” of their books. So, here is the longest podcast they will ever do…until the next one. Enjoy!
DC Comic Books Reviewed: Superman #43, Grayson #11, Justice League of America #3, Teen Titans #11, Aquaman #43, The Flash #43, Gotham by Midnight #8, Batgirl #43, We are Robin #3, Deathstroke #9, Injustice: Year Four #17, DC Comics: Bombshells #5, Batman: Arkham Knight #28, He-Man and the Eternity War #9, Cyborg #2, Harley Quinn #19, Sinestro #14, Justice League 3001 #3 and Prez #3
DC Comic News: Firefly cast in Flash, Hawkman will be a regular in DC Legends of Tomorrow and DC tells editors to stop “Batgirling” the books.
ep 33: “Late Night Sleepover Fun” With not a lot of news, but plenty of Listener Mail and Comic Books, Jim and Eric get down to business and talk and talk and talk… While they couldn’t remember the name of seminal band, Sugar Ray, they did remember Welcome Back Kotter, Guns and Roses and Third Eye Blind among other nonsense. They are also joined by Reggie for his Recklessness and Ryan Clark’s Other Side segment featuring Welcome Back #1. All that was missing is a stuffed crust pizza and a Puppet Master movie to make this a throwback sleepover extravaganza!
Episode 31: With fewer books to talk about, Jim and Eric keep it under three hours. Eric shows his excitement that Charles Band follows him on Twitter and Jim gets upset at a listener mail making fun of his voice. They also talk about all the DC Comics that came out this week, discuss the news, read listener mail and bitch and moan. Reggie’s Recklessness features his opinions on the Killing Joke and Ryan reviews This Damned Band #1. Dan got food poisoning so there is no Geek News this week, but Jim threatens to do it himself…as Dan.

DC Comic News:
Ep 29: Jim and Eric set a personal record by going over four hours…FOUR. FREAKING. HOURS. It gives them plenty of time to talk about all of this week’s releases from DC Comics, a whole lot of casting news for Arrow and Flash and of course, stuff nobody ever needs to hear. Jim gets on his soapbox a couple of times and it’s not just to see eye-to-eye with Eric…no, he has some real issues. At least they are real to him, dammit! They are also joined by Ryan Clark reviewing Archie vs Sharknado #1, Dan’s Geek News and a new segment featuring their friend, Reggie. So, free up your calendar and enjoy the podcast.
Jim and Eric hunker down with a slew of San Diego Comic Con news and announcements, read listener mail and review most of this week’s DC Comic releases. They also talk about Axel Rose and sucker MC’s and are joined, as usual, by Ryan Clark and Dan Stransky.

Ep 26: Jim and Eric celebrate the 4th of July by talking about Kid n Play, James Hampton and Peanut Butter and Miracle Whip Sandwiches. They also have time to discuss some DC Comics news and argue about all of the DC comic books that came out this week. We also hear more about the Eric Shea/Ryan Clark feud in the Brightest Daycare Other Side segment and play a little game called guess the edit on Dan’s Geek News. Enjoy!
Ep 25: This episode is intended to be more on the DC Comic tip. Jim and Eric discuss television news, the supergirl trailer and a little Batman: Arkham Knight. Then they jump into this week’s books and while Eric had a downer week, it’s Jim’s turn to shine. They also talk ghosts, Quato from Total Recall and tell a bunch of Dick jokes. Ryan Clark joins in with his Other Side review of the WYtches Trade Paperback and Dan gives us a spoiler edition of Geek News.
Ep 24: Because Eric has to go away for the weekend, the boys get together on Friday to record and while it seemed different, they got the job done. Eric talks about being a shoplifter, Jim ends his feud with Brenden Fletcher and the guys talk about all the books of the week. They are both surprised at Black Canary, but disagree about almost everything else. We also get Dan’s Geek News and Ryan Clark reviewing Southern Bastards #9.
