This week we’re back to 2001 and Thor v2 #33! Dan Jurgens and Stuart Immonen bring us The Million Dollar Debut of Thor Girl! (whatever that means!), also, the much less auspicious debut of Nullitor (who I can’t stop calling Nullotron throughout the show…) plus the return of…?? Also, I give my thoughts on the state of the MCU, and we even have some listener mail!
Episode 127 of the Podcast of Oa features an exclusive conversation with writer Dan Jurgens as he and co-host Myron Rumsey talk about the just released Green Lanterns #54. Myron and Dan discuss some of the underlying themes in “Evil’s Might” and Dan’s history with Cyborg Superman. Co-host Phil Bova and Myron talk about Green Lanternsissues 53 and 54 and Myron chooses the 1981 Tales of the Green Lantern Corps three issue miniseries in this episode’s “Retro Review”. Myron and Phil also talk about the potential appearance of Parallax on the Supergirl television series and Robert Venditti’s parting gift to Myron.

It’s Episode 341 of the Wayne’s Comics Podcast, and this week we continue our series of episodes featuring interviews from this year’s San Diego Comic Con, which took place from July 19 through the 22nd! First up, you’ll hear my chat with Tom Taylor from Injustice 2, followed by my interview with Dan Jurgens, who is taking on Green Lanterns. After that is Marc Andreyko discussing his new assignment on Supergirl, followed by Nick Derington, who is doing cover work for Mister Miracle and an upcoming Batman project. Things wrap up with Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti talking about their upcoming Harley Quinn crossover project as well as Batman stories available in many local Walmarts, among other things! This week it’s a cold day in Hel as we cover Thor v2 #32, the 100 Page Monster! Well, 1/4 of the issue anyway… With Malekith seemingly having the upper hand, it’s up to Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Sif, and the rest to defeat Malekith and his icy minions!! It’s the most fun you can have other than watching your fridge defrost! Nuff said!
We’re back! This week we’re covering Thor v2 #30! It’s the return (again??) of Malekith, his pixie friends, Beta Ray Bill (aka Bill-ric of Melnibone), some forced cross-over nonsense, and some great art by Andy Kubert! Nuff said!
This week we cover Thor V2 #29! Jurgens, Kubert & Co present Thor vs The Wrecking Crew, with the life of Hogun the Grim in the balance! Plus, Jagrfelm has a bit of elf trouble, as Malekith the Accused takes “raiding the ice box” to a whole new level 😉
Hey, we’re here this week too! In between episodes of me packing for my upcoming move, we’re looking at Thor v.2 #28, in which our hero and the Warriors Three do some New York City sight-seeing, Sif does some ruling, the Wrecker and his Wrecking Crew hang around in a cheap motel… in costume… and someone offers to “polish Thor’s helmet”…if you know what I mean… Don’t miss it!
It’s Epsiode 282 Redux, as we recover from the Great HD Crash of ’17! In this episode we cover The Mighty Thor (v.2) #27, as Jurgens, Larsen, and Janson give us the second half of the Absorbing Man story! It’s a slug fest in a crumbling tenement with Jane Foster and Titania’s lives in the balance!
This week we’re back to the start of the millennium with Thor v2 #26! The Absorbing Man is back! And he needs a doctor! Sif has *really* long fingers, Odin falls alseep again, Keith Kinkaid comes back long enough to be smacked in the face with a ball & chain! RFA! It’s what the doctor ordered!
This week we wrap up the Thanos/Mangog story with Thor vol.2 #25!! In this issue, we find out how many times Dan Jurgens can recycle a single scene, how many faces Dick Giordano can re-draw, and how spoogy tears can actually be! Plus the Recorder gets blowed up real good! Don’t miss it!
This week we’re back to that same ice planet with those same stalagmites, and the same old gang in the penultimate chapter of the Thanos/Mangog saga! Thor vol. 2 #24!!! It’s an all-action issue, with everything that entails…plus Tarakis turns into a bird! (sort of) This issue courtesy of Jurgens, Romita Jr. and Giordano! It’s Orikal-icious!
It’s the big OOPS episode, as we go back in time and cover Thor vol. 2 #22! Why? Because we screwed up!
This issue features the Mangog and Thanos wrecking a planet of gloopy green snot people in search of the Illumination Stone! Plus.. the first appearance of a future supporting cast member!~ Don’t miss it!
This week we look at Thor v.2 #23, featuring the return (for no apparent reason!) of the iron-pumping Firelord! Thanos and Mangog continue their rampage, plus you get to hear me try to pronounce “X’Hoss”!! Don’t miss it, true believers!
