Welcome to the first Grawlix Bytes episode! In this new segment we talk about all the usual things BUT in Bytes we get to tackle the more timely topics. Whether it be news headlines that simply won’t wait a month to be discussed or recent comic convention adventures too grand to fit into the regular episodes. Speaking of con adventures…
In this episode Jesse and Grawlix superfriend Holly discuss their visit to Planet Comicon 2015 this past month. Kansas City’s Planet Comicon was a huge event this year with a massive roster of well known guests. Enjoy as Jesse and Holly take you through their whole adventure!
Emerald City Comicon 2015 was a blast. Another great year of comics, movies, television, and games all coming together to celebrate what we love. Dylan and John discuss what they enjoyed at the convention as well as a few trends they have noticed and wonder how things will change for next year. Also, they talk about some of the other shows they will be attending this year and possibly in future years.

Emerald City Comicon 2014 is over. Dylan and I had a great time there wearing our podcast shirts (thanks to Leigh Newman). We talked to so many people and saw some great panels and interviews.
ECCC also marks our 1 year anniversary of working on the show. It was last year at the con that Dylan and I discussed Avengers Vs. X-men and decided that we wanted to do a podcast where we record our discussions about comic book story arcs.
Also, this is our first “live” episode. We recorded this earlier this evening after getting home from the show. We had a great time and look forward to going again next year.
Our report on the October 20 International Manga Festival (Kaigai Manga Festa) at Tokyo Big Sight concludes, with analog cloud computer support, an unexpected Boston Comics Roundtable connection, a young boy in strange lands, talk of censorship, Bulgarian comics, and finally, the artist behind Blacksad, Juanjo Guarnido!
Info on all the exhibitors we talk to in this episode is below!
Yep yep. It has been a week since Rose City Comicon here in Portland and its high time Brother Oberts and Doc Fluxx give up some juicy details and make Brother Shepherd jealous as all get-out. Also, all three members of the order of caretakers are united to offer a review of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and we do plenty of bantering about DC’s stupid announcements. Join us, will you?
Errors: During the episode I say “Gotham Nights” when I clearly meant “Gotham Central”. Forgive the error.

Mulele is back from New York Comicon! While he can’t talk about what might have transpired in terms of getting work (which is a whole lot better than saying “nothing happened”!), he has plenty to say about the experience of being there & his impressions of the comics industry, how his thoughts about it changed, and about New York, the city.
In this episode I recap my third and final day at the Emerald City ComiCon in Seattle. It was a very frantic day, and I endured a horrible flight back. On the plus side, there are interviews with Brian “Pants” Christman (CGS) and Sal Abbinanti (Atomika) at the end of the episode!
Armed with an awesome press pass, Tim walks the floor of Seattle’s Emerald City Comicon! It’s his first time attending a con, and as everyone keeps telling him, for a first-con experience, you can’t beat Emerald City. As he gathers material for future episodes of this podcast, Tim collects quick interviews, with creators known and unknown! All the names and links are below the jump!
