Episode 8 – Trailer Trash Talk

In this classic and much more free-form show, The Freaks discuss the teasers and trailers for such then-upcoming films as Frank Miller’s “The Spirit”, “TR2N” (now retitled “TRON: Legacy”), “Terminator: Salvation” and the remake of “The Day The Earth Stood Still” among others.

Chris throws one of his best on-air fits ever all about garage sale etiquette and Scott invents the phrase “hobby raping”. Add some Firesign Theatre, the Justice League roll call, and a trip to the Freak Museum and you it’s easy to see why this is one of the Freaks’ most beloved episodes.

The song featured in the Freak Museum segment is “Our Song” by Roger Waters from the soundtrack to the movie “The Body”.

Enjoy!!

Episode 6 – The Dark Knight “First Impressions” Review

Has The BAT Jumped The SHARK?

Well, here it is!! You’ve heard about it, you’ve read about it, now listen to this legendary episode for yourself!! Yes, friends, there actually were people that :gasp: DIDN’T LIKE The Dark Knight!!

Join The Freaks, Chris Honeywell and Scott H. Gardner, for their MOST CONTROVERSIAL EPISODE EVER (yes, even MORE controversial than the ancient astronauts episode!!) in which they treat Christopher Nolan’s so-called “epic” the way Ozzie Osbourne treats a bat’s head.

Yeah, yeah, they know — you LOVED it, right? The whole damned world loved it. But maybe now…..after the initial rush has worn off and you’ve come down off that Mountain Dew-induced nerd-high, maybe, just maybe, you can spot some of the chips and cracks in this current Caped Crusader’s nipple-free batsuit, too…

Or not…

ENJOY!!

Two True Freaks! Episode 68 – Arkham Asylum with Chris Johnson

Arkhampic

Ok, here’s the premise…….. Scott has read Grant Morrison’s dark and dreary “Arkham Asylum” numerous times over the past twenty years. And despite continually hearing how great it is for two decades now, he JUST… CAN’T… SEE IT!

And he desperately yearns to know “Why Not?!”

So, to perhaps help “shine a little light”, he has invited special guest CHRIS JOHNSON, die-hard Grant Morrison fan, to join him for this very special episode and maybe, just maybe, help Scott UNDERSTAND just what it is about this supposed masterwork.

Insightful and entertaining conversation ensues, but…will Scott’s opinion be swayed?

TUNE IN TO FIND OUT!
