This week in Episode 301, you’ll hear my great interview with comics editor/scripter Sebastian Girner as he talks about his new Image comic Scales and Scoundrels. You may remember Mr. Girner from his other successful comic, Shirtless Bear Fighter, which we also discuss briefly. However, the focus in on his new title with accomplished artist Galaad, so we get into how the series has come to be, who the characters are, and what we can expect from Sebastian in the future! It’s another great chat, so be sure not to miss it!
Looking for a great all-ages adventure comic? Well, in Episode #296, you’ll discover just such a book! This week, I chat with Richard Rivera and Alex Lobato, both from Florida and two of the creators behind Shadow Play, an excellent comic that focuses on Bard and Joy, two ninth graders who embark on a mission in the Shadow Realm to save a life! Full disclosure – I have worked with these guys behind the scenes, so I may be a bit biased, but I think you’ll find their new project worthy of your support! For more about their recent successful Kickstarter, go to this link at Kickstarter.com! To learn about Richard Rivera’s other projects, go to stabbitybunny.com or find him on Facebook. To keep up with Alex Lobato, check out his Facebook page!
Our panelists are joined by Marvel writer and letterer Joe Caramagna this week. After a small technical glitch cost us a few minutes of issue 1 (our favorite comic adaptions in other media), the group discusses writing in other genres and the Marvel’s new status quo.
