It’s a short show this week. However, I do spend a few minutes giving my spoiler free thoughts on Captain America: The First Avenger. It’s good, but also disappointing, and not in the way you think a comic book host might think.
I end the show by covering the prematurely canceled series, Air: A History of the Future (G. Willow Wilson, M.K. Perker). It’s a disappointing ending to a series that could have been great, if it had more time.
Alas, a Pick Of The Week AND a Fast Five all in one packed episode! Pick Of The Week goes to John Layman & Rob Guillory for Chew #13 (Image). Fast Five picks include Hulk #24 (Marvel), DC Universe: Legacies #4 (DC), G.I. Joe: Cobra #7 (IDW), Air #24 (Vertigo), and Secret Avengers #4 (Marvel).
I’d apologize for this episode being longer than normal, but I APOLOGIZE FOR NOTHING!
I quickly start things off quoting the awesomeness that is Transformers. Yes, I’m still playing the game. I then give you that Predators review I promised along with what makes a good and bad sequel and the directions they can go in.
Since San Diego Comic-Con just wrapped up, there’s plenty of news this week. A lot of it is sad when dealing with the best imprint out there. I finish the show talking about the soon to finish Air: Pureland (G. Willow Wilson, M.K. Perker).
In this episode, the Pick of the Week goes to Geoff Johns & Ethan Van Sciver for The Flash: Rebirth #5 (DC). Fast Five picks include Amazing Spider-Man #612 (Marvel), Irredeemable #8 (BOOM! Studios), Air #15 (Vertigo), Dr. Horrible #1 (Dark Horse), and Invincible #68 (Image).
Kind of a boring week for comics in my opinion. Didn’t have that “UMPH” I was looking for. Pick of the week goes to Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason for Green Lantern Corps #35 (DC). Fast Five picks include Incognito #3 (Icon), Air #8 (Vertigo), The Walking Dead #60 (Image), GI Joe: Cobra #2 (IDW), and Punisher #4 (Marvel).
One more week for the Cammy’s Comic Corner Fan Appreciation Contest! Don’t stop believin’!
It’s quality over quantity this week for comics. Pick of the week goes to Mark Millar and Steve McNiven for Wolverine #71 (Marvel). Fast Five picks include Invincible #60 (Image), G.I. Joe: Cobra #1 (IDW), Azrael: Death’s Dark Knight #1 (DC), Punisher #3 (Marvel), and Air #7 (Vertigo).

Fast Five picks include Conan The Cimmerian #7 (Dark Horse), Doctor Doom And The Masters Of Evil #1 (Marvel), Battlefields: The Night Witches #3 (Dynamite Entertainment), Dark Avengers #1 (Marvel), and Air #6 (Vertigo).
The Sinister Six, Night Witches, and Hyperprax airships make this week awesome!

Whatta action-packed week for comics. The pick this week, from Robert Kirkman & Ryan Ottley is Invincible #55 (Image). Fast Five picks include Ghost Rider #29 (Marvel), Air #4 (Vertigo), Amazing Spider-Man #578 (Marvel), Scalped #23 (Vertigo), and Deadpool #4 (Marvel).
Vertigo and Marvel duke it out this week, and the real winner is Jason Aaron.
