We get a an answer for the meaning of the mysterious writing, leading to another question, in another decent episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which finally has Coulson behaving in the unhinged manner everyone’s been saying he’s been behaving in all season.

This week Dave sits down with Mike Dean and Tim Radecki, they creative minds behind Super-Bud. The comic that dares to ask the question what would happen if a group of stoners smoked a strain of weed that gave them super powers? A great independent comic with a fun micture of comedy and action. One of the best independents we’ve read in a while. So sit back and enjoy, and when you finish listening please take a moment to check out and support their kick-starter. If you can’t give money spread the word on this new and unique comic book!

Thwipping Boys Roundup – Agents of SHIELD, Babylon 5 and The Last Unicorn Vs. The Flight of Dragons

First of all we take a look at the premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 – “Shadows”. We didn’t like the first season much, going as far as accusing the Whedon tribe of nepotism during that uncharacteristically angry Serenity show we did. It’s not the fact that Jed and Maurissa got to a place they never would have got to without family connections that wound us up so much as the fact that they were sat in the world’s most awesome sandbox and couldn’t put together a compelling show. Let’s hope they’ve grown as showrunners…

Next up, our epic mission to podcast every bit of Babylon 5 out there reaches Season 3 as we find ourselves setting off NSA alarms over Skype and accidentally recreating a Breaking Bad scene in the process.

Previous Parts:

Season 1
Season 2 (Part 1)
Season 2 (Part 2)

Finally, I introduce Simon to the Rankin Bass classic The Flight of Dragons, one of my favourite childhood films. Followed by both of us watching The Last Unicorn for the first time, based on it being a film by the same team, released in the same period and still held in similarly high esteem…

Cheers!

Jon
