Radio Free Asgard 293

This week we have a look at the final chapter in our current storyline, as we cover The Mighty Thor #198! Odin is dead! Or is he? Thor fights the Mangog! Volstagg plays water-boy! Hogun finds an interesting way to use his mace, and Sif runs into someone with a very large head! Face front, true believers!

This week we wrap up the first half of Hercules Unbound with issue #6! It’s the final (for now!) face-off between Hercules and Ares! This issue features a dead bird, a dead dog, some seriously speedy horses, and a complete lack of knowledge of English geography!  Dare you miss this???

This week we have the conclusion of our Hunter Blood story in Hercules Unbound #5! This story involves a cockney gorilla taking Hercules to see a movie while Big Ben is on the verge of collapsing outside! Plus one of our party gets squished! (sorry, it wasn’t the writer…)

Wayne’s Comics Podcast #213 With Brahm Revel From ‘Guerillas’

I always go to my local comics shop looking for a great story! This week, during episode 213, I talk with Brahm Revel, creator of a series of graphic novels from Oni Press called Guerillas, which is an all-time favorite of mine! The third volume is scheduled for release in May, so I appreciated the chance to discuss these books with Brahm, including where the idea for this series came from, who the characters are, and what we can expect  from the third book. You’ll also want to listen because Brahm has a special announcement about the future of Guerillas, one that, if you’re a fan like me, you won’t want to miss! Be sure to listen to this great interview about a terrific comic you should be reading if you haven’t picked it up already! Really!

Critiquing Comics #057: “Sortafellas”

sortafellasSortafellas, a comic submitted to us by Ed M., is set on the mean streets of 1970s New York; a police “bag man” goes to “Junkie Central” to pick up bribe money for his superiors. Having seen only 10 pages, Mulele & Tim aren’t quite sure where it’s going, but would like to see more!
