It’s a mythology show this week, as we cover two tales from Neil Gaiman’s adaptation of the Norse Myths, “Mimir’s Head and Odin’s Eye” and “The Treasures of the Gods” – We’ve heard the tales before, but not quite like this, so check em out!
Eric was away for some of the podcast, but Reggie jumped in like the trooper he is. We did have numerous technical difficulties for which I apologize for, but what can you do? Those are the things that make a 10+ hour podcast fun and interesting…at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
This week we look at Mighty Thor #3! Girl Thor faces off against Lady Loki in the general vicinity of a building with a very female shape! Freyja faces trial! Alfheim gets bombed! The crowd of Lokis goes wild! Co-starring Tom Hiddleston as Loki McPubeface. Nuff said!
It’s time again for your favorite 9+ Hour podcast and Jim, Eric and Reggie are here to give it to you. Listen as they talk through a ton of books, read mail and find out about Big Tony’s favorite episode of Batman ’66. Enjoy!
The spotlight is on Dark Days: The Forge and it has Jim and Eric pretty pumped. Eric will be more pumped if he gets a definitive origin of Hawkman when all is said and done and Jim is just ready for a classic good time. See what they have to say and if you like it, check out their regular weekly podcast as well as check out their Patreon account for more fun and nonsense!
This week, it’s Mighty Thor #2, courtesy of Aaron and Dauterman! Thor defends Alfheim from Roxxon and Malekith’s evil army, while Heimdal gets thrown in jail, and Loki tries to prove himself to King Laufey, despite his face pubes! Plus I have a few basic thoughts on Wonder Woman (no spoilers)! Nuff said!
Jim and Eric put the Spotlight on Shea Fontana’s Justice League #22. Is it good and does it bode well for her upcoming Wonder Woman run? Find out here and tune in every week for our big podcast where we review every single DC Comics book that came out that week.
OK, how about something a little more recent? This week we look at Mighty Thor #1 (2016) – Yes, it’s the continuation of Jane Foster’s adventures as she goes up against a falling satellite, everyone sings “It’s Raining Elves!”, the Avengers show up and then leave, and Loki gets face pubes! Fluff said!
Jim and Eric talk about Wonder Woman Annual #1 because…well, because it’s Wonder Woman! If you like what you hear, check out our regular weekly podcast where we talk about all the other DC Comics that came out this week.
This week we wrap up the first half of Hercules Unbound with issue #6! It’s the final (for now!) face-off between Hercules and Ares! This issue features a dead bird, a dead dog, some seriously speedy horses, and a complete lack of knowledge of English geography! Dare you miss this???
This week we have the conclusion of our Hunter Blood story in Hercules Unbound #5! This story involves a cockney gorilla taking Hercules to see a movie while Big Ben is on the verge of collapsing outside! Plus one of our party gets squished! (sorry, it wasn’t the writer…)
We’re back! Just in time for a trip to merrie olde England in Hercules Unbound #4! There are cat people! Giant bells! Chateau Briand ’63! Not to mention the most annoyingly voiced villain since Gorr the God Butcher!
This week we look at Hercules Unbound #3! In this issue, we go through a hole in the ground next to the Eiffel Tower to visit Pluto/Hades in Hell/Hades! We are joined by the usual gang, plus a lyre-player with a groovy headband! Don’t miss the first appearance of Gorr the God Butcher’s dark servants, an “accidental” killing, and several other silly coincidences. It’s Hercul-riffic! (plus, my con report of C2E2!)
