SFP-NOW 54 – With ‘Falling Skies’ Seychelle Gabriel

For this episode we feature an EXCLUSIVE interview with Seychelle Gabriel who plays the role of Lourdes in the hit TNT series Falling Skies, which will premier its second season this Sunday.

During our chat the actress discusses her journey into acting and gives a few insights on some of the developments we can expect to see with Lourdes during the second season. We also talk a little about her role in the straight to DVD movie Honey 2 and discussed some of the similarities between a dance and how a scene in a hit scifi show is choreographed.

For This Week in Comics I wax enthusiastically about Dynamites ongoing ‘Lord Of The Jungle’ series while Wayne gives his view on Before Watchmen: Minute Men issue 1.

SFP-NOW – Planet Of The Ape’s Special

 

For this special episode I’m joined by comic book writer’s Gabriel Hardman and Daryl Gregory to discuss the Planet Of The Ape’s movies and give our own unique take on the popular movie series, which has been the insperation for Boom Studios Planet Of The Ape’s and Exile On The Planet Of The Ape’s.

We start from the 1968 movie and work our way through every movie discussing their social relevence to both past and present day audiences as well as discussing some of the sciency wiency aspects from the movies.

We also briefly touch on developments in the comic book series and have a few laughs along the way. So tune in to hear what these two great comics creators have to say about one of the most iconic movie franchises of all time.

SFP-NOW Ep49 – With Lee Meriwether

Wow, for awhile there it didn’t look like we were going to get episode 49 ready before I left for my new house, but somehow we managed it despite some real life issues getting in the way.

This episode is massively cut back to the point where we’re featuring a stand alone interview with the lovely Lee Meriwether who is best known to genre fans for a number of television shows, but is perhaps best known to fans of Batman for her portrayal of Catwoman in the 1966 movie, which was shot after the TV series.

Over the course of 40 minutes Lee looks back at her career and discusses some of the fantastic people show got to work with on Batman as well as on Star Trek and Mission Impossible. So be sure not to miss out on this if you have a love of television from what many would consider a classic era.

SFP-NOW – Episode 46 – Reviewing Dresden Files: Ghost Story

No interview in this week’s show. So instead Wayne and I decided to give our thoughts on Jim Butchers Dresden Files: Ghost Story, which came out in late summer of last year and is likely to be in Paperback pretty soon if it isn’t already.

For the TV Segment we discuss our thoughts on the new Kiefer Sutherland series Touch, which has recently just hit in the UK.

For this week in Comics I discuss my excitement about issue 7 of Detective comics while Wayne waxes Lyrical about Atomic Robo and Gianluca eunthuses about his reading experience of Peanuts from Boom Studios.

As ever its a jam packed show this week and we hope to continue to bring more great content in the coming weeks.
