This one was totally worth the wait. Remember Kevin from Loaded Dice? No? Well that means you probably haven’t been listening for that long and we forgive you. Kevin joined Doc Fluxx and Father Shepherd for an episode so stuffed with jolly antics and anecdotes it lasted about an hour and half. Why wait several months to release directors cut? Nothing but raw, unedited content this time around. Well, slightly edited…
This episode the boys talk Jared Leto’s Joker, Frank Miller’s inexplicable worship, slipping on banana peels, new upcoming comics and much more before answering fan queries in our popular Fanquisition segment. Fun was had by all.
To submit FANQUISITION topics for our weekly panel to address, submit via twitter with #fanquisition or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be entered to win seriously cool comics.
Thanks for listening. How out of your way would you go to give us a rating or review onitunes or Stitcher
We conclude our coverage of C2E2 2015 with a recap of the Caped Crusaders, Dynamic Duos and Darkest Knight panel (or just the Batman panel when it’s at home), featuring Batman writer Scott Snyder as moderator, with Batman Eternal writer James Tynion IV, Detective Comics writer Brian Buccallato, Gotham by Midnight writer Ray Fawkes, and the upcoming Robin: Son of Batman writer / artist Patrick Gleason.
So in this episode, we bring you a ton of audio clips of these guys (well, mostly Scott Snyder) talking about upcoming storylines in Detective Comics, Gotham by Midnight and Robin: Son of Batman… but at the time of this panel, we were only four days away from the conclusion of Batman: Endgame in the core Batman title, and only a week away from the debut of the new “RoboBunny” Batman in DC’s Free Comic Book Day offering, Divergence. So we feature a bunch of clips of Snyder and company talking about the new Batman, the process in creating him, the reasoning behind the new direction, and a few new tidbits about him that you might not have heard elsewhere, all from the mouths of the creators!
And, since Batman #40 has been released since this panel, we not only feature several clips of Snyder talking about what Batman: Endgame means to him, but we review and discuss the issue!
Thanks for listening to our C2E2 coverage. We return to our normal weekly schedule on Sunday, May 3rd, with an episode about Avengers: Age of Ultron, featuring a couple of very cool guests!
We spend a very long time talking about Cho and Rodriguez. Then Drinking. Then thinking up a motto. Eventually we jump to Marvels and just can’t deal with BUCKY BARNES 3 and 4. Overwrought, over complicated, confusing, and dumb. We like CAPTAIN MARVEL 11 is a Christmas issue so I love that. SHIELD 2 makes me smile with Kamala trolling superhero websites and memorizing B villain weapons. We get to SILVER SURFER 8 reveals a planet of Galactus survivors. Continuing on with Slott we check out AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 12+13 with Victorian spider eating people. THOR 4 develops all arguments really well; with Original Recipe Thor conceding the title. UNCANNY X-MEN 30 probably ruins the continuum by talking to Charles be cause she just soooo moral and superior and ethical and smart. CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 brings us a better Cap replacement book than Remender wrote with actual Cap…Visit Spider Woman 3 with concubine Jess and spider poop that irritates us. PIRATE CONCUBINE JESS captures her though. We sorta come to terms with SUPERIOR IRON MAN 4; with Tony kinda dominating DD, but Matt still coming ahead morally. We end with UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL 1. I dig it a lot so far. We finish off with STAR WARS 1!! ZOMG!!11

This week we look at Thor Vol. 2 #15 – As Thor’s hammer gets fondled by hundreds of people in a dark alley (which isn’t nearly as much fun as it sounds!) – The Enchanters get ready to strike! Plus: I get to meet Stan Lee!
