Long Box Review Episode 16: Halcyon Review

I wanted to take a break from discussing DC titles (though, that’s mostly what I collect, so why fight it? :)) so this episode I discuss with Travis the Image Comics series Halcyon (warning: we will discuss plot points and reveals). You’d think this would be a quick episode, but somehow Travis and I manage to talk for almost two hours about five issues! How did we ever get through 13 DC Comics issues in under three hours?!

I mentioned towards the beginning of the episode an interview with the writer of the series at Bleeding Cool (which I did not discuss at the end of the episode as I said I would–sorry, I forgot!). For those that are interested, here is the link: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/11/24/tough-minded-questions-with-marc-guggenheim-halcyon-action-comics-and-more/.

Discussion: Thanksgiving 2011

‘Tis the season to be thankful and as usual the Dollar Bin sets aside petty disapointments to be thankful for what the comics industry has brought us in the year 2011. This year Adam, Brian, Shacka, and Shawn will break down what they are thankful for by publisher, much like Adam organizes his books.
