Too Old to Grow Up! -Episode 77 -Your Fall 2009 TV Premiere Preview

We take a look at the Fall 2009 television lineup. What are we, and our listeners, looking forward to this year, and which are we not? That’s this week on Too Old to Grow Up!

Comic Couch Episode 60

Not the fun one.

This week’s episode sees two men down so the rest of the Couchers bravely soldier on. On the Docket this week are Fantastic Four #570, 28 Days Later #1, and Blackest Night: Teen Titans. This episode ended up not being our anniversary drink along/big listener email show because of some personal issues with the cast.

So that means this week, yes episode 61, will be our amazing Drunky McDrunkerton, mostly listener email show. Get ready we have already received a few doozies, and they are sure to make everyone chuckle. If you want your questions answered or just want to poke fun at us get your emails in by 8am est. Wednesday September 2nd.

Sidekickcast Episode #25 – The Welsh Coast Avengers

The World’s (or at least Wales’) Mightiest Heroes assemble for the 25th episode spectacular of Sidekickcast. The Sidekick role call includes regular hosts Dan (Marshall Law) and Gavin (The Boneman), Davlo graces us with his brain power and an X-Centric character from the old days makes a dramatic return. Did you make it to Avatar day? No? Well the Sidekicks have got you covered with their preview of the exclusive Avatar footage presented by James Cameron.

In Stack Attack this week The Sidekickcs review Batgirl #1, Daredevil #500, Viking #3, Poe #2, Cable #17 and Superman #688. Chris Claremont’s X-Men: Forever #1-5 get’s the X-Centric treatment, will it live up to past glories?

Dan assembles a crack team of comic book knowledge in our pub quiz-esque comic book news game Secrets and Lies. In Knowing Me, Knowing You, Dan tackles the sequel to last episode’s choice; Superman: The Stand on Krypton whilst Gavin supposedly takes a look at The Losers vol.2. We end the show on a high brow note with The Arrival this week’s Dig That! choice from comic book artist Stuart Tipples and the usual out-takes play out after the outro music.

Awesomed By Comics Podcast, Episode #58

This episode of Awesomed By Comics is brought to you by How Grass and Trees Become Enlightened, because those crazy monks are at it again. In a week full of some top-notch comicbookery, mindblowing art hails from Batwoman and Horse Thor, Wonder Woman gets dumped, Herogasm gets serious, and Guardians of the Galaxy makes all of Aaron’s teenage dreams come true. Also, we give Peter David a suggestion for how to pluralize “Jamie Maddrox,” because it could obviously come in handy.

Two True Freaks! Episode 69 – Listener Feedback and DragonCon Anticipation Discussion!

0d9c

In this very funny episode, Chris and Scott celebrate a record download month by doling out the love to their awesome and oh-so-faithful listeners as they dump out the mailbag and plow through massive mounds of — Listener Feedback!!

Many a varied topic is covered and many a tangenting, yet fascinating ramble is heard.

Then, in the exciting conclusion, the Freaks are joined by Mr. Eric “Greencapt” Peterson and Adam “Earlobe of Agamotto” Thibault for a scary, yet lively (and extremely hilarious) conversation of their half-assed plans and wild expectations for DragonCon
in Hot-lanta, Georgia!!

Alternate Reality – Episode 236

Alternate Reality - Episode 236

Alternate Reality – Episode #236

Technical difficulties continue to plague the Alternate Reality crew as Eric spends more time hung in internet limbo than actually on the phone and reviewing comics. We do manage to get a few reviews out him time its all said and done. He brings the indie love with Poe #1 and continues his rollercoaster ride of anniversary issues with Daredevil #500. Charlie loves the Tiny Titans and explains to us why vampires on the moon need no space suits. And Jon shocks and awes the world by going indie this week reviewing Days Missing #1, but first he starts us off with his longtime true love of Superman in Blackest Night Superman #1.

If you can get through the hang-ups, drop-outs, and computer static, then it’s not a bad episode,….. honest.

Enjoy
