Kryptik Musings Episode 3 – Ben Templesmith

Kryptographik is a trans-continental podcast featuring Brian (in the U.S.) and Damian (in Australia), providing news, reviews, and commentary regarding horror, dark fantasy and science-fiction.

Due to scheduling issues, we’ve decided to release solo episodes called Kryptik Musings to bridge the gap until we release our next podcast.

In our third Kryptik Musings podcast, Damian speaks with Ben Templesmith, artist on 30 Days of Night and Fell, and wrtier/artist of Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse and the upcoming Welcome To Hoxford, published by IDW.

Wednesday’s Haul 625/08– Ty Nelson, J’accuse!!!

This episode was supposed to be a continuation of Duck Month with a thorough look at Marvel’s Essential Howard The Duck but, just as I was really getting into reading it, the book dissolved in my hands. So instead, I take a side track from Duck Month (don’t worry, it’ll continue with the next show) and talk about how do books live up to hype and expectations set for new comic book readers. Plus there’s some Watchmen, Sandman and Miracleman talk that borders on obsessive. At least, I hope it only borders and doesn’t fall into the psychotic range.

CCL Podcast #176 – A Look at DC Comics 2009 Collected Editions

Collected Comics Library Podcast #176

42,690Kb; 36m 12s

http://www.collectedcomicslibrary.com/

This week on the show I give a full rundown of the DC Comics January/1Q 2009 Collected Editions. I blogged about this a few days ago and I have yet to come up with a source for the list so take it with a grain (or chunk) of salt.

Also on the show I do a little eBay Sold Searching and you won’t believe just what are hot commodities and the final sold prices for the books.

Have an email question regarding what to do with damaged books that are bought at conventions; news on a brand new cool Prince Valiant retrospective; and is anyone buying the Marvel Illustrated books?

All this including the New Releases of the Week, what’s coming up on the next TwoMorrows Tune-In Podcast and a Kick-Ass (#1-2) giveaway – find out how to enter on the show.
